Drug Unit
The Guelph Police Service Drug Unit was formed in 1988 in an attempt to suppress the use, sale and distribution of illicit drugs in the City of Guelph. This unit is responsible for drug enforcement, awareness and education in the Guelph community. The Drug Unit also assists in major criminal investigations peripherally related to the drug culture within our community.

Intelligence Unit
The Guelph Police Service Intelligence Unit was formed in 1976 to liaise provincially in order to track and combat organized crime. This unit works in tandem with the Drug Unit with drug enforcement initiatives. Further, the Intelligence Unit assists in major criminal investigations providing investigative support to the Uniform and Investigative Support Services divisions.
