Guelph Police Service

The Deputy Chief of Neighbourhood Services is accountable to the Chief of Police, the Guelph Police Services Board, and the citizens of Guelph. The Deputy Chief is responsible for the coordination and delivery of effective operational policing services to the neighbourhoods of Guelph through development of both short term and long range plans, utilization of innovative strategies and implementation of appropriate monitoring systems. Such services shall be deployed and implemented in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Value of the organization and the corporate direction of the Board. The Deputy Chief is committed to Neighbourhood Policing (Community Policing) and is sensitive to changing needs of Guelph's diverse communities.

The Deputy Chief is also responsible for the administration of discipline and all investigative activities related to the Police Services Act of Ontario.
