Welcome to our 2010-2012 Business Plan!

Every three years the Guelph Police Services Board creates a new Business Plan as required by the Provincial Government. Planning helps the Service to predict what our challenges will be and how to address them, improve the service we provide, strengthen the organization for our members and to make the best use of our resources.

The Plan is developed by a Business Planning Team representing every unit of the Police Service and the Police Services Board. The Team consulted with the community through a forum and telephone survey, and with members of the Service through a survey, to determine the priorities to be outlined in the Plan. In addition, an environmental scan of issues and trends affecting Guelph and the police sector was conducted. The goals in the 2010-2012 Business Plan reflect the information gathered from all of these sources, as well as a continuation of our past work.

We invite you to read our 2010-2012 Business Plan and discover our aims for the coming three years. Updates on our progress will be provided annually. We also encourage feedback on the Plan and the goals and objectives it contains. Finally, a great thank you to those who participated in the development of this Plan and to our community with whom we work to maintain the safety of our City.
