Limited Retirement Editions of "Fingerprints Through Time" Released

Limited Retirement Editions of "Fingerprints Through Time" Released

Chief Rob Davis is retiring later this month after 40 years of service to the community. Over the years, he has been an enthusiastic supporter of our local "Cops and Kids Charity". This local fundraising initiative was created in 2004 as a way for police officers to help support local families in Guelph throughout the Christmas holiday season. To date, the charity has raised over $65,000 which in turn was used to provide gifts, food, food vouchers, utility vouchers and clothing to over 60 needy families that otherwise would have gone without. Children from newborn to 17 years have benefited from this initiative.

The Guelph Police Service "Fingerprints Through Time" committee is releasing 50 of the police history books that will be numbered, signed and embossed by Chief Davis. "The Chief has always been a strong supporter of this community charity and he acknowledged this as a great way to raise awareness and much needed funding to maintain this annual initiative" said Sergeant Doug Pflug.

"The books will be sold for $34.00 (tax incl.) and every penny raised will go directly to the "Cops and Kids Charity"," commented Sgt. Doug Pflug. "If we sell out of this limitedsigned series, we will raise another $1,700.00 for this very worthy cause".

Limited Edition signed copies of the book can also be purchased by contacting Sgt. Doug Pflug of the Guelph Police Service at 519-824-1212 ext. 253 or by email at douglas.pflug@police.guelph.on.ca.
